Season 2023 / 2024

For the first time in many years we were able to enter a GAA team into the Cumann na mBunscol. We were drawn in the group alongside neighbours St Lorcan's, Laurence O'Tooles Seville Place, and Glasnevin Ed Together - all very experienced and tough sides! Our aim this year is to give as many as possible game time from 3rd to 6th in Cumann na mBunscol / end-of-year Blitz, as well as full-sided hurling and full-sided camogie teams. 3rd Class will be involved in the May/June games

We also were able to show off our new jerseys (thanks to Palmerstown Credit Union!!) that we designed with KC Sports! And although game 1 was a baptism of fire, we still got shots on target and scored 2 points! The main thing - EVERYONE played and EVERYONE gave it 100%

Game 1 and Game 2 will have Mr Keelan + Ms Nyhan in charge and then it is the dynamic duo of Ms Nyhan and Deirdre who take over when Mr Keelan leaves for a few months!

History Makers!

June 22nd, 2023 will always be a day of history in St Patrick's NS Chapelizod as the school entered and played it's first ever hurling/camogie match against St Lorcan's Palmerstown!

A HUGE HUGE thank you to Peter (our GAA Development Officer) and Ken (St Pat's) for organising the event and looking after us all so well. To the young club members who helped referee too and of course to Peter, John and all the gang in St Lorcan's for playing too! 

The result was never important but it should be mentioned that the notable moment of the first score in our school's history went to Cuan from THIRD CLASS!!!! And credit also to Deon in goals who - also in his first game - made 8 incredible saves!!

ALSO: We could not have done it without the INCREDIBLE help of our mams/dads/guardians who came to offer lifts up and back, supported and just generally helped out. As always, thank you so much!!
