Admissions Process

Please read carefully

Applications for a particular year are accepted from October 1st of the previous year until January 31st of the year of admission. For example, if a child is due to start Junior Infants in September 2024, the application form should be sent to the office between October 1st 2023 and January 31st 2024.

The application form is below - you can choose from word or pdf format.   If you require a hard copy, please contact us and we can post a copy out to you. 

If submitting electronically, please download the form first, complete it, and then email it (as an attachment) to the school office - chapelizodstpatricks@gmail.com.

If you prefer, you can print it out and post a hard copy to us - St Patrick's NS Chapelizod, Chapelizod, Dublin 20, D20 TW71.

If you wish to drop the form to us in person, please do so during school hours.  We are trying to keep visitors to the school to a minimum but if you wish, you can come to the gate and phone (01) 626 5752 .  We will come out and collect the form from you. 

Only forms received during the October - January window can be accepted.   If you sent a form into us before mid-February 2020, your application is still valid.

Completion and submission of an application form is not a guarantee of acceptance.  We will contact all applicants by post during February.  If we are in a position to offer a place to your child, we will send a letter of offer, along with an acceptance form which should be completed and returned with other documentation (including proof of residence) within ten days to guarantee the child’s place.

Once the acceptance form is received along with the correct documentation, the child will be on our intake list for that September.  If you have made applications to and/or accepted places from any other school(s) you are obliged to let us know that this is the case.  If, once an offer is accepted, you decide not to take up that place for your child, please let us know as soon as possible so that the place can be released to a child on our waiting list.
