Lord Mayor Visit

It was a great honour to have the First Citizen of Dublin, Lord Mayor Dáithi de Róiste visit our school on Friday 9th February 2024. As a past pupil of St Patrick's, it was extra special welcoming him back to the newly revamped building.

As part of his visit, Lord Mayor Dáithi de Róiste opened the new Phoenix Room in our school alongside the three amazing pupils in the class - Harrison, Noah and Apoorv - teacher, Ms Callaghan, and SNA's Maria, Emma and Danielle!

Lord Mayor Dáithi de Róiste also visited the classrooms to talk to pupils about his time in St Patrick's, the influence of former teacher/principal Ms Quill, his life in politics, and being Lord Mayor.

The visit was so enjoyable and everybody was delighted to hear about the great work being done by the Lord Mayor. It was also great that Wellbeing Week was about to kick-off in the school and given that one of the main themes of Lord Mayor Dáithi de Róiste's time in office is Wellbeing, it was perfect timing!

We hope to see Lord Mayor Dáithi de Róiste once again in the future and we want to let him know that he is always welcome back to St Patrick's NS Chapelizod anytime!

Big thanks also to our local Credit Union in Palmerstown who have always backed us positively in our efforts to get the best resources for our pupils and staff, all of which benefits the school community and Chapelizod as a whole!
