4th Class Penpals in Vietnam!

Through Mr Keelan's GAA podcast he runs, he has made many new friends around the world and one of them is Ms Forbes who teaches in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Ms Forbes is from Dundee in Scotland but plays GAA with the Na Fianna Ho Chi Minh City club in the south of Vietnam. Her class are based in the International School HCMC and as a result of everything, 4th Class St Patrick's now have penpals more than 10,400km away!! Our first letters were sent in October and from there we will write as often as we can, hopefully learning lots about each others life and culture and maybe pick up a word or two from each others language along the way!

Reel Life Science Competition 2021

Congratulations to Lola, Robyn, Tess and Hannah who entered into the Galway Science and Technology Festival 2021 with their self-made, edited, recorded, produced and designed piece on volcanoes called "The Worst Day On Earth"

Their work goes forward to the Galway Science and Technology Festival 2021 (Nov 8-15th) where they will be in among the 3rd-6th Class entries from all over Ireland! It is the first time our school has taken part in such a digitally-inspired science competition on a national level so well done to the girls!!!

Enda from ReelLifeScience emailed to say they were very proud to see the girls flying the school flag and for helping others by showing confidence and experimentation in their video!
